CHARTERED BUILDING SURVEYOR
Drone Thermography
Our Instruction - To inspect and report on heat loss issues.
The Property - Residential - Apartment Block.
The Location - Norfolk.
We were instructed by a Housing Association to inspect one of their properties built in the 1960s, as tenants had noticed a cold internal thermal environment, despite heating their apartments correctly.
External thermal imaging was utilised using high specification thermal imaging drones.
By using thermal imaging we were able to inspect, report and advise robustly to our client, the overall current thermal performance of their property, including that of their external walls, windows and roofs.
We were able to advise and recommend remedial works to our client, which involved further inspecting external wall cavities, where we suspected that thermal insulation was incomplete and debris blockages existed at lower levels, air-sealing and increasing thermal insulation levels.
The images below are only a small selection of those within our completed report.
